The President of our country visited the Tashkent State Medical University to familiarize himself with plans for the digitalization of medicine and the improvement of medical education.

On November 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Tashkent State Medical University and reviewed a presentation on the ongoing work on digitalizing the country’s healthcare system, improving the quality of services in medical institutions, and enhancing medical education. In recent years, advanced technologies have been introduced in our country’s medicine and are being widely implemented in educational processes. In particular, the Tashkent State Medical University was established on the basis of three higher educational institutions. The activities of the Urgench State Medical Institute have been established. Eight medical universities have passed international accreditation. Opportunities for training personnel with modern knowledge and skills in this field have expanded.

– “We are building modern medical institutions, introducing artificial intelligence into the sphere, and bringing in the most advanced equipment. These changes must reach the lowest level. Most importantly, we must pay attention to improving the qualifications of every medical worker, providing them with modern knowledge and skills. Only then will our efforts yield results,” the President said.

During the visit, they familiarized themselves with the modern educational environment and training laboratories operating with the help of artificial intelligence at the university. In simulation rooms for intensive care, family polyclinics, emergency care, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, and therapy, students are consolidating their knowledge and skills through practice. Detailed information was provided on the conditions created for this and plans for the future.
